What is Tested?

This test measures your body’s IgG antibody reactivity to 96 different types of foods and spices typically found in Asian diets. Using an established immunological technique, this test measures different immunoglobulins found in the body, IgG (subclasses 1, 2, 3) These immunoglobulins are tested separately to establish more of a clear picture of what food may trigger your symptoms.

How is it tested?

Using an established immunological technique, Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is widely used to detect the presence of specific antibodies or antigens in a patient’s blood. It is a basic testing platform in a fully-automated protocol utilizing advanced robotics and barcoding to identify each specimen throughout the testing procedure. Antigen-specific antibodies, bound to antigen, are detected through spectrophotometric analysis.

In simpler terms, Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is a common lab test used to check for specific antibodies or antigens in blood, helping diagnose diseases. The process uses automated technology to handle samples and ensure accuracy. It works by detecting antibody-antigen reactions, measured using light analysis. And the best part? All we need to test this is just a few blood drops on a card.

What’s the difference between Food Sensitivity and Food Allergy?

A Food Allergy is an immune system reaction where the body mistakenly identifies a piece of food as a threat, triggering an immediate response resulting in symptoms like hives, swelling, difficulty breathing or anaphylaxis.

A Food Sensitivity is a non-immune system response, often related to digestion or intolerances. Symptoms can include bloating, gas, headaches, or stomach discomfort, but they are usually less severe than an allergic reaction and don’t involve the immune system.

Do I need a Doctors’ Order to order this test?

Regulations vary by state and require a written or electronic request for patient testing. States that allow Direct Access Testing (DAT) are an exception to this rule – our consumers are allowed to take a test without a requisition authorized by a physician. Onsite Clinical Care works with a physician network to authorize tests in all states where our tests can be purchased.

Simply put, you don’t need a doctor’s order—we’ll take care of that for you!

Where is it tested?

After your sample is collected from the comfort of your home, it’s sent to one of our partner labs in either Washington State or Illinois. Why two locations? To efficiently manage the high volume of samples, we’ve partnered with labs in both states to ensure quick processing and timely results. Rest assured, your sample is handled by CLIA and COLA-certified facilities, meeting rigorous quality standards that go above and beyond.

Is this test covered by Insurance?

We encourage customers to submit claims to their insurance providers but cannot guarantee approval. Since our at-home kits eliminate the need for a doctor’s visit, insurance coverage may vary. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to explore coverage and reimbursement options for our services. If you choose to pursue this route, a member of our team will be happy to assist you.

Why do you offer this test?

Not everyone’s diets are the same, that’s why we offer the 96 Asian Food Sensitivity panel. We understand how frustrating and embarrassing it can be to experience unexplained symptoms like bloating, fatigue, or discomfort after eating. These tests empower you with insights into your body’s unique responses to certain foods, helping you make informed choices to feel your best and take control of your well-being.

Sustainability & Care

Our kit is designed with sustainability in mind, leaving behind minimal waste. Nearly all components are either used during testing or returned to our laboratory, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Unlike others, we avoid unnecessary packaging or decorative materials, focusing instead on reducing environmental impact. It might not be the flashiest kit, but it’s a thoughtful step toward a greener future.

At Onsite Clinical Care, we are committed to making healthcare simple and accessible for everyone across the U.S. That’s why we prioritize convenience with home sample collections that don’t require a doctor’s order—bringing care directly to you.

Food allergy symptoms vary in terms of reactions. Some may suffer from very minor symptoms, while others may experience a severe reaction. This test is not meant to be taken by anyone who already suffers from severe allergic reactions to any food listed on this test. If you are experiencing severe allergic reactions, please seek medical attention right away.

Symptoms include:

  • Tingling or itching in the mouth
  • A raised, itchy red rash
  • Abdominal pain
  • Swelling of mouth, lips, and eyes

More severe cases can include:

  • Swelling of the throat, resulting in difficulty breathing
  • Persistent dizziness or collapse
  • Stomach pain, bloating, vomiting, or diarrhea

Please note, testing alone cannot be used to diagnose a food allergy. Your healthcare provider will be able to use these results, as well as a mix of your medical history, family history, and additional information to properly diagnose any food allergy you may be under suspicion of.

If you believe you are experiencing severe, unusual, or worsening symptoms, please contact your health care provider immediately.

9 reviews for 96 Asian Food Sensitivity Panel

  1. Verified Customer

Thrilled with how easy it was to use this! Results were impressively quick.

  2. Verified Customer

This test was easy and the instructions were clear. I discovered a few sensitivities to common ingredients like soy and sesame, but it still let me know some common foods that I should maybe avoid.

  3. Verified Customer

I bought this for fun at first, but the process was easy and the results were incredibly detailed. The panel included many common Asian foods and spices, and it even identified a few sensitivities I wasn’t aware of. Highly recommend it if you’re curious about your food sensitivities related to Asian cuisine.

  4. Verified Customer

This test is alright. I was expecting more exotic foods to be on the test , still seemed to be normal foods

  5. Verified Customer

Wouldn’t really call this an Asian Food Panel , looks like regular foods with things like “curry powder” and ” permission” randomly thrown in

  6. Verified Customer

If you’re looking for a starting point to food sensitivities and what may be messing with you, I’d recommend looking at the regular 96 food panel if you don’t already eat asian food regularly. To think that this test would all be random foods when the diets are very near similar is absurb. Test did what was advertised and was easy to use

  7. Verified Customer

As soon as I ordered my package was shipped out. Came super fast, everything that I needed was already in the kit and it even came with a label to ship everything back. -1 Star for the price

  8. Verified Customer

This was cool! Saw an Instagram Ad and thought why not. Glad I did

  9. Verified Customer

This test was good, nothing exciting about it but it did what it was supposed to
